The Casco Bay Estuary Partnership and the Presumpscot River Wateshed Coalition won an EPA award for $739,000 to move ahead with plans to restore the Presumpscot River, the largest freshwater tributary to Casco Bay. Presumpscot River Watch is key member of the Presumpscot River Watershed Coalition which includes many other government and private organizations. These groups are focused on fisheries, open space and water quality of the Presumpscot River.

PRW's role in the project will be to supplement existing water quality monitoring programs (14 years of historical data) with new equipment capable of continuous monitoring. PRW will also work with area golf courses to meet combined goals of better water quality and cost savings.
